DIAMOND WINDOW SILK CAMISOLE

$195.00
Sold Out

100% silk satin camisole top with diamond panelling. Bias cut, french-seamed and hand bound, these camisoles are made to mould to your shape.

Red and blue colours are naturally dyed by hand. The heavenly naturally dyed colours come from combinations of three plant dyes;

Blues and greens from Organic Indigo powder fermented using a fructose vat. Reds and pinks come from the roots of the Rubia Tinctorum (madder) plant, a dye so ancient that it was used to dye the cloth King Tutankhamun was buried in. Yellows from Chlorophora tinctoria (fustic) extract. Fustic dye comes from the heartwood of a tree from the Mulberry family.

Part of the beauty of naturally dyed colours is that they fade and change over time. To minimise this, dry-clean only or hand-wash separately in cold water with a mild eco-detergent and air dry your garment in the shade.

The pieces in this collection have been slowly and ethically made by hand by Leah and a team of skilled local makers, using painstaking historical techniques and dye processes. Every detail has been carefully considered and executed and the result is the very opposite of fast fashion. These are limited edition pieces made to last for generations.

Garments are made to order in our Rockdale studio, Sydney, Australia. Lead time is 2 weeks minimum.

We are committed to providing sizes for all. We make to order and can make any size required. PLEASE get in touch if you have a specific requirement, send us your measurements and we will draft just for you!

Model is an AU size 6-8 wearing a size S
